Cordova Baptist Preschool and Kindergarten provides a warm caring environment for learning and growing. The school provides basic educational, social, and spiritual experiences for young children which will help them develop to their fullest potential. We are non-sectarian in our approach to preschool education.
Our school follows the Folsom-Cordova School District calender, which includes all legal holidays, all school holidays, Christmas and Easter vacation.
We offer a program that provides a balance between structured (teacher directed) and unstructured (free flow) time. The structured program that we provide includes: story telling, sharing time, lessons, snack time, music, gross motor skill activities (large muscle development) and dramatic expression. The learning through shapes, color, alphabet and numbers, all take place within varied curriculum themes of seasons, animals, plants, people and cultures. The unstructured (free flow) program that we provide includes: fine motor skill and gross motor skill experiences with art, blocks, puzzles, work jobs, small manipulative toys and a home like play area.
There are plenty of outside adventures (three outside play areas) to explore within the school property, such as: biking, climbing, swimming, sand and water play.
Our Philosophy
We believe in Christ. Our philosophy follows Christian Principles. The love of God is for everyone. We provide this love for young children because it is needed by the child to develop a positive self-image. We believe that by providing a warm, creative environment, the child will be stimulated to grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
